Mind Stuff 2004
8 minutes
The merging of matter in mind stuff mixes colour whilst being pulled away magnetically. The film describes the transient nature of mental thought, through the movement created by water and paint. The flow of colours passing by, reflect the thought processes that occur in the consciousness, and the variations of colours have the quality to evoke moods, memories and emotions. These colours stick leaving residual lumps, the masses of memories that remain colouring our vision of present reality.

Untitled The Roadside Museum 2014
35mm slide film
The Roadside Museum is an experimental project examining the feasibility of fast forwarding the ageing process of artworks through biological and chemical decay. Raksha was selected to bury artworks for one year on a farm in the north-west of England in May 2013. Her work for this project was a series of photographs and transparencies taken of Pool Hey Farm. The prints and film were buried unprotected in a field at a depth of six feet, and over the year the images of the farm dissolved through the acid content of soil into delicate abstract images.
